Nong Nooch Gardens are botanical gardens south of Pattaya. At kilometer 163 on Sukhumvit road. It was opened in 1980.
I actually did not know there were such gardens in Pattaya up to last year. Not sure of the reason, maybe not well advertised or maybe you do not really think about gardens when you go to Pattaya.
And as far as botanical gardens are concerned, they’re sure some of the nicest I have seen in Thailand. And some of the best maintained.
You’ll even find some cactus, imported cactus, I guess.
Or orchids. I have one of these in my garden , they’ve got plenty
Part of the park is a bit too kitsch for my liking but the kids just love it.
But what the kids love most is the same as what they love when they go to Safari World, it is the interaction with the animals there. Starting with the king, the tiger.
Tigers are for the adrenaline rush and other animals are for fun.
The birds
And the fishes, 10 baht for a small blue tube of fish food. Sure did not last long.
And this is a huge park, so if you’re too tired. or if you just want to stay more time there, you can actually stay overnight, they have rooms available next to a small lake.
In conclusion, a place I enjoyed visiting and I’ll sure go there again in the future. And so should you.
