Bangkok Airport at night through Canon lens 10-22mm

Bangkok International airport, called Suvarnabhumi airport or Sawanapoom (ท่าอากาศยานสุวรรณภูมิ) airport if you ask Thai people or a taxi driver to drive you there .

It was opened in 2006. It received its fair share of critics, not enough toilets, an unfinished look,… But all that changes at night and I sure like it much better in the evening than during the day, the blue lightning and the big glass panels are not only nice to see but also make for great photos.

The ones you’ll see here have been taken by Canon wide-angle lens EFS 10-22mm and since it was quite some time ago, with the Canon 450D and not the Canon 7D.  Other photos taken with the Canon 10-22mm can be seen here:

The first picture is of the parking lot. It is a separate building in front of the airport. So be prepared to walk quite a bit if you go there with your own car.

And on the way to the gate, departure level, arrival level is one floor down as can be seen with all the Toyota Camry “limousines” waiting for you.

And the vans

A view of the 2 different levels, arrivals on the ground floor, departures one level up

Same view from a distance

And the glass windows of the airport, no front wall actually, only windows, nice.

And as can be seen on the picture above, the escalators are pretty long

So, overall, for me, certainly one of the best looking Asian airport at night.
